Complying with eBay's Product-Based Shopping Experience

Created: - Updated:

This article will teach you how to meet eBay's new Product-Based Shopping Experience requirements using Sellbrite.

eBay is moving towards a Product-Based Shopping Experience (PBSE) in 2018. With this new experience, buyers will be able to easily find merchandise that meets their search criteria and quickly decide which products they want to purchase.

For sellers, this transition will require associating listings with products in the eBay Catalog (ePIDs), for select product lines. Here at Sellbrite, we are rolling out support for eBay's Product-Based Shopping Experience in 2 phases, with phase 1 already being supported.

Phase 1 Support - Entering ePIDs

This phase of support allows you to manually enter ePIDs into your Sellbrite Products and/or Listings. To do this, you'll need to retrieve the ePIDs from eBay and enter them in Sellbrite.

ePIDs can be entered at the product level either in the Edit Product page...

...or via the Product CSV.

ePIDs can also be edited in the eBay Edit Listing page, if you've already created a listing.

Once an ePID has been entered, Sellbrite will publish the listing with the ePID entered.

Phase 2 Support - Searching ePIDs (*coming soon*)

Phase 2 Support will allow you to dynamically search in Sellbrite for the correct ePID, rather than requiring you to know and enter the correct ePID ahead of time. Implementation for this phase of support is expected to be released towards the end of summer, 2018.
