First Time Seller: Completing the Jet Runway

Created: - Updated:

This article will teach you how to complete the Jet Runway in order to start selling on Jet with Sellbrite.

If you're new to selling on Jet.com, the Jet Runway requires you to first test that your integration (Sellbrite) can perform functions such as creating a listing, before allowing you to sell on Jet.com.

Below is a list of the steps you will follow to test Sellbrite's Jet.com integration. All steps require you to access both your Jet Partner Portal and Sellbrite account, so you will probably need to have two browser windows open for both applications.

STEPS:
1. Connect Jet to Sellbrite using Test API Keys
2. Map Sellbrite Warehouse Location to Jet Fulfillment Node ID
3. List a Test Product
4. Ship a Test Order
5. Cancel a Test Order
6. Return a Test Order
7. Connect Jet to Sellbrite using Live API Keys
8. List a Live Product
9. Finish the Jet Runway

Once you have completed the Jet Runway, you will be given a new set of API Keys. Those API keys will then be used to re-authenticate your Sellbrite-Jet connection, allowing you to truly start selling on Jet.com.

Step 1: Connect Jet to Sellbrite using Test API Keys

In Sellbrite, go to Listings > Add/Manage Channels from the top navigation.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-05_at_2.11.20_PM.png

If you already have channels added, first select the Connect a New Channel button. Otherwise, simply select Jet from the list of channels.

Next, you'll need to login to the Jet Partner Portal and go to Integration, where you will first select "Direct Integration" and Continue.
Screen_Shot_2018-03-01_at_2_32_40_PM.png
The next screen, will provide some general information about the steps you are about to complete, using your integration (Sellbrite).
Screen_Shot_2018-03-01_at_2_34_03_PM.png
Select Continue, then copy and paste your Test API User and Secret keys into their corresponding fields in Sellbrite.

After you've entered your Jet API User ID and Secret, select Connect your Account to connect Jet to Sellbrite.

This completes Step 1.

Step 2: Map Sellbrite Warehouse Location to Jet Fulfillment Node ID

Once Jet is connected, you will be automatically directed to your Jet Channel Settings page.

At the bottom of the Jet Channel Settings page, you'll find a list of all Sellbrite Warehouse Locations you've created next to a field to enter a corresponding Jet Fulfillment Node ID.

Sellbrite.png

A Fulfillment Node in Jet can be thought of as a Warehouse location for your listings.

Login to your Jet Partner Portal, go to Fulfillment and click the Fulfillment Node you've already created in Completed Nodes. If you haven't created a Fulfillment Node, create a Fulfillment Node first.

Once you've clicked and opened a completed node, copy the Fulfillment Node ID located in your browser's URL...

...and paste this back in Sellbrite, in the Jet Channel Settings page under Warehouse Locations.

NOTE: In order for Sellbrite to sync inventory to Jet, update pricing and keep track of orders, Jet Fulfillment Nodes must be mapped to your Sellbrite Warehouse Locations in a 1:1 manner. You can learn more about Jet Fulfillment Nodes & Sellbrite Warehouse Locations here.

This completes Step 2.

Step 3: List a Test Product

In the last step, we navigated away from Integration in the Jet Partner Portal. Go back to Integration in your Jet Partner Portal and select Continue until you reach the "Test product" step.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-01_at_5_24_56_PM.png

Once you reach this step, go back into Sellbrite, go to the Selling Manager and select 1 product to list with a quantity greater than 2, then click Create Listings and choose your Jet account from the list of channels.

We recommend creating a new "test" product so that you can deactivate the listing after the Jet Runway is completed.

A Draft will be created for your listing. You can apply Jet Templates or a Recipe of Templates to your listing, or you can edit the Draft manually by clicking into the listing title. For the purpose of completing the Jet Runway, let's edit the draft manually.

Make sure your listing is categorized for Jet by going to the Category tab of your Draft listing.

Screen_Shot_2018-02-27_at_12.17.36_PM.png

Also be sure that your Price and MSRP are entered and correct in the Pricing & Quantity tab.

Screen_Shot_2018-02-27_at_12.17.45_PM.png

Once all required fields are entered, select Publish at the top of the Edit Listing page. This will publish your listing to Jet, so long as there aren't any errors with your listing.

When your listing publishes, it's status will change from a Draft to Under Jet Review.

Back in Jet on the "Test product" step, you should now step parts 1, 2 and 3 marked as complete. Select Continue to confirm parts 1, 2 and 3 are all marked as complete in Jet.

Select Generate test order. This will generate an order that will be automatically imported into your Sellbrite account.

Now, open your Sellbrite account and go to Orders > orders on the top navigation.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-02_at_1_07_57_PM_copy.png

Just like Step 4, generate 1 order under Number of orders to generate. Select the SKU of the product you listed during Step 3. Select an Order Qty of 1 and the Fulfillment node you mapped to your Sellbrite Warehouse Location during Step 2.

Select Generate test order. This will generate an order that will be automatically imported into your Sellbrite account.

Now, open your Sellbrite account and go to Orders > orders on the top navigation.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-05_at_11.23.53_AM.png

Open the Jet Test Order you just created and select Cancel from the top of the Order Details page.

Screen_Shot_2018-02-27_at_1.34.06_PM.png

Once you've marked the order as canceled, your order should be marked as canceled in Jet.

Back in Jet, confirm the order has been marked as canceled on the "Test canceling order" step. You should see Acknowledged and Canceled marked as complete.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-02_at_4_41_12_PM.png

This completes Step 5.

Step 6: Return a Test Order

Still on the Integration page of your Jet Partner Portal, select Continue to reach "Test returning order".

Screen_Shot_2018-03-02_at_4_41_57_PM_copy.png

On this page, select the only order in the Order to Return dropdown. This order should be the order you marked as Shipped during Step 4.

Select Generate test return. This will generate an order return request that will be automatically imported into your Sellbrite account.

Now, open your Sellbrite account and go to Orders > orders on the top navigation.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-05_at_11.23.53_AM.png

Within the Orders page, navigate to to Returns.

Zeplin.png

Open the order with the pending return and select Return Item at the top of the Order Details page.

Screen_Shot_2018-02-27_at_3.05.23_PM.png

A modal will appear allowing you to specify the return amount, but the modal will default your return amount to fully return your item.

Screen_Shot_2018-02-27_at_3.09.00_PM.png

Once your return amount is entered, select Confirm and your order will be marked as returned in Jet.

Back in Jet, confirm the order has been marked as returned on the "Test returning order" step. You should see Returned marked as complete.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-02_at_4_41_57_PM.png

This completes Step 6.

Step 7: Connect Jet to Sellbrite using Live API Keys

Still on the Integration page of your Jet Partner Portal, select Continue to reach this "Review Summary" page.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-02_at_4_51_18_PM.png

This page should show your progress within the Test API section of the steps you've completed using Sellbrite, along with your other company information entered prior to beginning these steps. Select Continue to access your Live API Keys for your Jet account.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-05_at_10_40_28_AM.png

In Sellbrite, go to Listings > Add/Manage Channels from the top navigation.

Screen_Shot_2018-03-05_at_2.11.20_PM.png

Screen_Shot_2018-03-05_at_2.14.01_PM.png

Select Test Connection to re-authenticate your Jet connection with your Live API Keys.

This completes Step 7.

Step 8: List a Live Product

Now that your Jet account is connected to Sellbrite with Live API Keys, all that's left for you to do is to list at least 1 product to Jet you actually want to sell.

In Sellbrite, go to the Selling Manager and select the product(s) you want to list to Jet, then click Create Listings and choose your Jet account from the list of channels.

Draft listings will be created. Just as before, you can apply Jet Templates or a Recipe of Templates to your listings, or you can edit your Drafts manually by clicking into the listing titles.

Once all required fields are entered, select Publish. This will publish your listings to Jet, so long as there aren't any errors with your listings. When your listings publish, their status will change from Draft to Under Jet Review.

Since you are listing products to Jet using your Live API Keys during this step, Jet's team will review the listings you published. This will take some time for them to do.

This completes Step 8.

Step 9: Finish the Jet Runway

CONGRATULATIONS!

You've done all you need to complete the Jet Runway.

Once Jet approves the listings you published during Step 8, in your Jet Partner Portal all that's left for you to do is to select Finish with runway, once that button becomes clickable.
