This article will explain what's new and improved in the Sellbrite interface.
We're always working to improve Sellbrite, often based on feedback we hear from you, our amazing merchants. This article is intended to prepare you for the new changes that are rolling out.
Navigation Tab Changes
We have updated the top navigation of your Sellbrite account. Two of the tabs (Products and Channels) have new names. These changes are to align our messaging and support materials with your expectations.
'Products' is now 'Inventory'
Managing your inventory is the primary function of Sellbrite. The Products tab has been changed to Inventory.
'Channels' is now 'Listings'
Sellbrite specifically helps you create and manage your listings on each channel, so this is a natural change. The Listings tab will still prompt you to select a sales channel first, as it does currently.
Sub-navigation on Hover
Previously, the Channels tab had a sub-navigation option (a dropdown) to select a sales channel. This sub-navigation required an initial click to activate it.
Now, all sub-navigation is activated on hover, eliminating the need for an extra click.
Three of the tabs now have sub-navigation options: Inventory, Listings, and Orders.
The Orders sub-navigation allows you to access your Shipments page directly, without having to go through Orders. The Inventory sub-navigation, however, is entirely new:
Updated Inventory Sub-navigation
The Inventory tab will now present a sub-navigation to select either your Inventory Manager or Selling Manager.
The Inventory Manager is now the primary page for the Inventory tab. We're making it easier than ever to update your inventory quantities, since that is the most frequently performed function of the Sellbrite software.
All products listed on the Inventory Manager page are child products, so you will not see any parents, or parent/child families, represented here. This means that any Product Tag applied on this page will be applied to the individual variation, only.
You can still Bulk Edit the inventory of any items with a single warehouse location. It is also now possible to bulk edit the Selling Price of your inventory from this page.
Note: previously you could bulk edit your cost of goods here. We're replacing Cost of Goods with Selling Price, since that tends to change more often than cost.
You can hover over any item with multiple warehouse locations to see your inventory quantities in each location.
Import and Export options are now available in the Inventory Manager, and you can now add new products to your catalog from this page. The Inventory Manager is to be primarily used for managing all inventory data, but is not the home for creating and managing listings.
The Selling Manager is the place to view where your products are currently selling. It is also primarily used for creating new listings.
It will look familiar to you, but we've added a new column for Draft listings, to make managing them easier. This is also to help you avoid creating duplicate listings.
Since the Selling Manager page shows your Parent/Child products grouped together, any Product Tags applied here will be applied to the entire family.
Improved Edit Product Page
The Edit Product page has a slightly updated look as well. When viewing a product, you'll see relevant inventory and sales information to the left of the page for the product you're viewing.
You can now easily Create a Listing by selecting the option located on the top right hand side of the page.
In the Product Info section, we've now added lbs and oz to product weight measurements, which will be added to any new listings you create, and included in your Orders, so you can have more accurate shipping rates.
