If you are new to selling or advertising you products on Google, you may have noticed there are a few different services to choose from. This article will help you make sense of each platform, and determine which (if not all) are right for your business.

Surfaces across Google (free product listings)

This is a free program that allows people to see product results from your store in the Google Shopping tab.

Google Shopping Ads

Google Shopping Ads is almost identical to surfaces across Google. Think of it as the paid version of the program. Instead of relying on keywords and SEO (search engine optimization), Shopping Ads will promote your products based on the cost-per-click campaigns that you create.

Buy on Google

Buy on Google does not require you to have an online store. Buy on Google is like a Google marketplace, where the entirety of the transaction is done on Google, rather than being linked back to your online store from a Google ad. Google does not charge a commission on your sales.
