There are 5 different Listing Templates for eBay. They allow you to save a majority of your category-based settings, to increase the speed and efficiency of eBay listing management.

Category Templates

Category templates allow you to select a category into which you commonly list on eBay, and save the settings for that category so they don't need to be re-entered over and over again.

The first sections of the Category templates allow you to select a primary and secondary category, along with 2 different Store categories if you manage an eBay store.

eBay Categories can be found in 2 ways. Clicking 'Search categories' will allow you to search by typing a category full or partial name. Clicking 'Browse categories' will open a category tree that can be drilled into.

After selecting the categories for this template, map the product conditions for that category based on the conditions in Sellbrite's catalog: New, Used, and Reconditioned.

You'll also want to save the listing format for this template. Merchants who create both auction and fixed price listings will want to duplicate their template once finished and create a similar version with the other listing format.

It is possible to have many templates per category with various duration lengths.

One of the Category templates most powerful features is the ability to map your item-specifics in advance. Here you'll see all of the item-specifics for the Primary Category you chose.

Any Custom Attributes you've created for your inventory will be visible in the Product Attribute dropdown and can be mapped to the item-specific fields.

IMPORTANT: After you've created a Category Template with mapped item specifics, the values you use in Sellbrite can be mapped to the values that eBay will accept for that category.

For example, if you sell t-shirts and your sizes in Sellbrite are "Large", "X-Large", etc., you can map your Sellbrite values to the sizes that eBay accepts for t-shirts ("L","XL",etc.. The mapping tool looks like this:

The Item Specific Values Mapping tool is located at the bottom of your Templates & Recipes page:

Lastly, you can map all of your Product Identifiers for eBay in the event you use multiple Product IDs (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.) in your inventory. Mapping this field also ensures that any update to a Product ID in your Sellbrite inventory will get passed automatically to your eBay listings.

Title & Description Templates

Title & Description Templates allow you to configure your eBay listing title, subtitle, and descriptions, so they can be populated dynamically when you create or update your listings.

The eBay Title field is populated by default with the Product Tag for Name, which pulls the product name of your inventory item.

In the template below, we've built a formula for the listing title based on Product Tags from Inventory: "Name" - "Brand" "MPN". When applied to a product, this would result in a title like this:

"Bamboo 2-in-1 Fine & Flea Dog Combs with Travel Case - Bamboo 810191"

Subtitle is an optional field that may incur an additional fee from eBay depending on your type of account. Most merchants choose to leave this field blank, but subtitles do improve search visibility and rank.

The description field is the most commonly customized field for eBay. Sellbrite offers a variety of customization methods, depending on the level of sophistication you wish to achieve.

You can maintain a simple text field (which is the default setting) by simply leaving the Description tag as is. To add little bit of styling, click the Basic HTML Editor to open a WYSIWYG tool.

If you have an existing HTML template you wish to use, clicking 'Source' within the HTML Editor allows you to paste your HTML code, into which you can drop the Product Tags you wish to use.

Shipping Templates

Shipping Templates allow you to set the shipping options you offer on select groups of listings.

A single template can hold both domestic and international shipping options, along with the ability to make your listings available for eBay's Global Shipping Program.

There is an option to 'Exclude Locations' to which you do not wish to ship due to increased cost or risk of fraud.

Payment & Returns Templates

Payment & Returns Templates are the most straightforward of all of your eBay Templates.

The Payment & Returns Template allows you to store your PayPal address and payment instructions. You can also require Immediate Payment if desired and include Sales Tax.

The reason a merchant may want multiple Payment & Returns Templates is due to the ability to set Handling Time. If you sell Build to Order or Dropship products of various lead times, you may need multiple templates to account for each expected Handling Time window.

Pricing Templates

Pricing Templates allow you to configure your price settings for all of your listings, including both Fixed Price and Auction listings, so you don't need to separate them by listing format.

Pricing Templates include the same Pricing Rules you can employ on your Channel Settings pages, except that a Template gives you the flexibility to apply Pricing Rules to specific listings, rather than all of the listings on your entire channel.

For eBay, you have the ability to set your Best Offer parameters to automatically accept or decline an offer.
