Shopify store owners who install Sellbrite from the Shopify App Store experience a customized version of Sellbrite, specifically built for Shopify. Sellbrite for Shopify gives Shopify sellers all of Sellbrite's powerful listing functionality, while keeping Shopify as the source of truth for products and inventory, as well as fulfilling orders.
Shopify store owners can continue managing their product and inventory data from within Shopify, just as they would normally.
Products get added to Sellbrite automatically, from where they can be listed to the marketplaces. Changes made to products within Shopify will update in Sellbrite immediately and get passed on to the marketplaces.
And orders from the marketplaces will get imported to Sellbrite, then sent back to Shopify for fulfillment.
Once you've created your Sellbrite account, you will automatically be directed to the "Connect a New Sales Channel" page.
The first step to getting started is connecting your marketplace selling accounts, or channels, to Sellbrite. When a channel is connected to Sellbrite, 2 things will happen:
1. Existing listings will be imported into Sellbrite
2. Historical orders will be imported into Sellbrite
Existing listings will need to be linked to your products in Sellbrite in order for inventory quantities and product changes to be synced appropriately. Linking will happen automatically when a listing is imported if the SKU on the listing matches the SKU on the product. Learn more about linking listings to products here.
Note: You can connect more than one of each channel type. Example, if you have 2 eBay accounts, you can connect both. Keep in mind that each connection will count as a channel if your plan contains a limited number of channels.
Understanding the Sellbrite Product Catalog
While you are connecting your marketplaces, a Product Catalog will be built in Sellbrite mirroring your Shopify product catalog.
Your product catalog in Sellbrite will always mirror your product catalog in Shopify. For example, if a product is added in Shopify, that product will automatically be added in Sellbrite.
The same behavior applies to product updates or deletions made in Shopify. Sellbrite will update itself automatically with the changes made in Shopify.
This functionality also extends to the ancillary components of your product catalog in Shopify: Inventory and Locations.
For example, if a new location is added in your Shopify store and assigned to certain products with inventory, that new location will be added as a Warehouse in Sellbrite and assigned to the same products in Sellbrite with the exact same quantities.
Just like products, inventory quantities and locations in Sellbrite will always mirror your inventory quantities and locations in Shopify.
Listing Products to Marketplaces
To list your products, simply select the products you wish to list and click the "List Products on Channel" button at the top of the All Products page.
Sellbrite will automatically direct you through the listing process for each marketplace. Learn more about how to create listings from Sellbrite here.
For the Sellbrite for Shopify integration, the most important thing to understand is that product edits and updates made in Shopify will effect your marketplace listings. This means if you update a product title in Shopify and that product was listed to eBay through Sellbrite, the eBay listing title will be updated as well.
One way to differentiate the data your marketplace listings from the data in your Shopify product catalog is by using Sellbrite's Custom Attributes. Syncing Inventory to Marketplaces
One of the most important features of Sellbrite is Inventory Sync.
Inventory Sync allows the inventory updates you make in Shopify to update your marketplace listings. Your Sellbrite Product Catalog will always mirror your Shopify Product Catalog's inventory, so this option simply allows Sellbrite to make the same inventory updates to your marketplace listings.
Note: Inventory Sync is a global setting. This means that when Inventory Sync is enabled for a channel, it will apply to all of the linked listings on that channel.
To turn on Inventory Sync:
- Go to Settings > Sales Channel Integrations and click the gear wheel next to the channel you want to enable Inventory Sync on
- Toggle Inventory Sync to ON
- Repeat this step for any other channels you want to enable Inventory Sync
Fulfilling Marketplace Orders
Orders are pulled into Sellbrite every 15 minutes from each marketplace. As orders are placed for your marketplace listings, Sellbrite will automatically send these orders back to your Shopify store for you to fulfill.
Once you fulfill a marketplace order in Shopify, the Tracking information will automatically appear in Sellbrite as a shipment. Sellbrite will then update the channel with the tracking info.
As orders are fulfilled in Shopify, inventory quantities will be adjusted in your Sellbrite Product Catalog accordingly, mirroring your Shopify product quantities. Sellbrite will then update your marketplace listing quantities, assuming Inventory Sync has already been enabled.
