How to Prepare Your WooCommerce Products for Sellbrite

Learn how to prepare your WooCommerce products and configure your WooCommerce store

Written by Elliot K

Before you connect your WooCommerce store and import your products into Sellbrite, check that your products meet a few requirements. Getting these right beforehand helps make sure Sellbrite imports and syncs everything correctly from the start.

SKUs

Every product in Sellbrite requires a SKU. It's what links your Sellbrite products to your live listings.

If your WooCommerce products don't have SKUs, add them in WooCommerce before you run a listing import. Learn more about why you need SKUs .

If you import listings from WooCommerce that don't have SKUs, a couple things can happen:

  • If you already have matching products in Sellbrite, the imported listings won't link to them.

  • If you're building your product catalog in Sellbrite from that import, Sellbrite generates SKUs for those products automatically, since every product in Sellbrite needs one.

Visibility

Sellbrite can only import products that are set to Published with visibility set to Public. Products that don't meet both conditions won't be accessible to Sellbrite.

Manage stock

Confirm that the Manage Stock setting is enabled on all your products, including at the variation level for products with variations. This setting is what allows Sellbrite to sync inventory with your WooCommerce products.
