Walmart promotions let you offer discounted pricing to customers during checkout. You can create, publish, and manage all of your Walmart promotions directly from Sellbrite.
Walmart Promotion Types & Rules
Walmart offers 5 types of promotions.
Clearance
This promotion adds a Clearance badge, along with the promotional price and a comparison price, on the item page.
Reduced
This works the same a Clearance, but displays a Reduced badge instead.
In Cart
The In Cart promotion shows the discounted price only on the checkout page.
In Checkout
Similar to In Cart, but the discounted price only shows to customers who are logged in and already in checkout.
Performance Ads
Features a product at the top of Walmart's search results. You don't pay for these ads unless they generate clicks or conversions. You get access to Performance Ads by signing up for Walmart 2-Day Shipping with Flexport. Learn more about Performance Ads.
Rules that apply to all promotion types:
You can schedule up to 10 promotions on a single listing.
Only one promotion can be active on a listing at a time. Sellbrite won't let you create promotions with overlapping time frames.
In Cart and In Checkout promotions don't show a comparison price. Only Clearance and Reduced promotions display the savings as a price difference.
You can't delete a promotion within the first 4 hours after creating it. Attempting to do so returns an error.
Once a promotion starts, you can't alter or delete it. You'll need to let it run until its scheduled expiration date.
In Sellbrite, every effective date starts at 12:00 AM UTC on that date, and every expiration date ends at 11:59 PM UTC.
You can delete a future promotion that hasn't started yet.
How to create a Walmart promotion
Open a Walmart listing in Sellbrite and go to the Promotions tab.
Select Add New Promotion.
Enter the promotion type, effective date, expiration date, and promotional price.
If you're creating a Clearance or Reduced promotion, Sellbrite automatically uses your current listing price as the comparison price.
Once you've set up the draft promotions you need, publish the listing to submit them to your Walmart listing. Draft (unpublished) promotions show an "x" delete option in the top right of the promotion box. Active (published) promotions don't show this option, since deleting an active promotion follows a separate process, covered below.
How to delete a Walmart promotion
To delete promotions for a listing:
Open the Walmart listing in Sellbrite and go to the Promotions tab.
To delete every promotion on the listing, select Delete All Promotions for This Listing at the top of the tab.
To delete a single promotion, select Delete Promotion within that promotion's box.
After selecting your delete option, publish the listing to apply the deletion in Walmart.
