Shopify lets you assign your online store inventory to different Locations. Shopify Locations work just like Sellbrite's Warehouse Locations. Both let you virtually organize your inventory by location for fulfillment purposes.
If you use Locations in Shopify, you need to map those Shopify Locations to your Sellbrite Warehouse Locations. Mapping keeps your Shopify store and Sellbrite in sync, and it's required for Sellbrite to:
Sync inventory from Sellbrite out to your specific Shopify Locations
Create listings from Sellbrite to Shopify with inventory in different Shopify Locations
Build inventory in the correct Sellbrite Warehouse Location when you import listings from Shopify into Sellbrite
Reserve inventory in the correct Sellbrite Warehouse Location when you import orders from Shopify into Sellbrite
How to map Shopify Locations to Sellbrite Warehouse Locations
Mapping your Shopify Locations to Sellbrite Warehouse Locations simply allows your Shopify Store and Sellbrite to stay in sync with one another.
In Sellbrite, go to your Shopify > Channel Settings page.
Check the Multi-Location Fulfillment status at the top of the page. If it shows as disabled but you have Locations turned on in your Shopify store, select Test Connection to enable it.
Once the status shows Enabled, scroll down to the Multi-Location Mapping section.
You'll see a list of your Sellbrite Warehouse Locations, each with a dropdown menu. For each Warehouse Location, select the corresponding Shopify Location from its dropdown.
If you add new Shopify Locations to your store after this initial setup, select Refresh Locations at the top of the Shopify Settings page so you can map them in Sellbrite.
What happens if I don't map a Warehouse Location?
If you leave a Sellbrite Warehouse Location unmapped, its inventory won't count as available inventory for sale on your Shopify Channel. Learn more about disabling warehouse locations on a channel.
Once you've mapped your Shopify Locations to your Sellbrite Warehouse Locations, you can import inventory from Shopify, turn on Inventory Sync, and manage your Shopify orders properly in Sellbrite.
