How Does Sellbrite Adjust Inventory Based on Orders?

Learn how inventory is adjusted in Sellbrite when orders are imported.

Written by Holland Rocha

Sellbrite automatically adjusts your inventory quantities as an order moves from paid, to shipped, or to canceled. Here's exactly what happens at each stage.

When an order is marked paid

Once an order imports into Sellbrite and is marked paid, Sellbrite moves the ordered quantity from Available to Reserved. Any listings linked to that product update automatically to reflect the new Available quantity, so you won't oversell it on other channels.

When an order is marked shipped

Once you mark the order shipped, Sellbrite permanently removes the Reserved quantity. That quantity has now left your warehouse for good, so it no longer counts toward On Hand either.

When an order is canceled

If an order is canceled before it ships, Sellbrite adds the Reserved quantity back into Available. Since the item never left your warehouse, it's ready to sell again right away.
