How to Enable eBay Strike-Through Pricing

Learn how to use eBay's Strike-Through Pricing option in Sellbrite.

Written by Elliot K

eBay's Strike-Through Pricing feature lets you show buyers that a listing has been discounted. It displays the original list price with a line struck through it, alongside the new, lower Buy It Now price, so buyers can see exactly how much they're saving.

Before you enable Strike-Through Pricing

You must be approved by eBay for its Strike-Through Pricing program before you can turn this feature on in Sellbrite. Sellbrite can't enable this for you. Approval has to come directly from eBay first.

How to enable Strike-Through Pricing in Sellbrite

Once eBay approves you for the program:

  1. Go to the Channel Settings page for your connected eBay account in Sellbrite.

  2. Toggle Strike-Through Pricing to ON.

Once enabled, Sellbrite uses the MSRP field from your product data as the original list price (the one that gets struck through), and the Price field as the new discounted price shown to buyers.

Turning off Strike-Through Pricing

Warning: Turning Strike-Through Pricing OFF in Sellbrite does not remove it from listings that already have it applied. It only affects new listings created after you turn the setting off. Those new listings won't have Strike-Through Pricing applied, even if you have an MSRP entered on the product.
