If you've imported variation listings or products into your Sellbrite account and want to re-list them as stand-alone listings, you’ll need to disassociate your child SKUs from their parent SKUs using the Product CSV. The process may seem complex, but it’s just six steps, so don’t be intimidated.

NOTE: The columns in your spreadsheet may be different from the columns in the example below if you have added custom attributes to your products. If you have not added custom attributes to your products, follow the steps below precisely.

1. Export Product CSV

Export your product CSV from Sellbrite by going to Settings > Export Data > Products > All Data

2. Copy data

Open your Product CSV and copy product descriptions, image URLs, and any other desired product data into your variation rows. Without doing this, your products will not contain enough product data to make a listing.

3. Clear 'parent sku' row

Remove the repeating parent SKU from column B.

4. Delete parent row

Remove the parent SKUs from your variations in column B.

5. Remove variation data

Delete the values from your variation columns. These should be columns AB, AC, AD, AE and AF. These columns contain variation attributes and values, which you no longer need.

Scroll all the way to the right, over to column AS and input the word "DELETE" for all of your parent rows. This will completely remove your parent SKUs upon import.

6. Import your CSV

WARNING: Before importing your product CSV, you'll want to export an inventory CSV so that your inventory quantities are backed up. Your newly disassociated products are going to be rebuilt entirely, so they will no longer have any inventory quantities. To avoid losing inventory data, your final steps should be as follows:

  • Export inventory CSV file

  • Import product CSV file with newly disassociated SKUs

  • Import inventory CSV file to refresh your quantities

Lastly, we recommend temporarily disabling Inventory Sync while importing your CSV files to avoid any listings being ended as a result of your products (briefly) having no inventory quantities.
