This article walks you through creating a listing for any sales channel from start to finish — from selecting your products to publishing your listings live.
Step 1: Select Products
Go to Products > All Products
Select the products you want to list by checking the checkbox next to each one.
Select List Products on Channel.
Step 2: Build your Listing
The first time you create a listing in Sellbrite, you'll be guided through a one-time setup to configure your Templates. These Templates store your listing preferences so you don't have to re-enter them each time.
Shipping Template
You will start with a default Shipping Template pre-filled with best practice shipping options. Review and adjust the options to fit your needs, then select Save & Continue.
You can update your default Shipping Template settings at any time.
Payment Template
Next, you'll configure your default Payment Template. Make your selections and select Save & Continue. Like the Shipping Template, this can be updated at any time.
Category Template
Sellbrite will then suggest channel categories based on your product's category in Sellbrite.
For example, a product categorized as "Dog Flea & Tick" in Sellbrite will be matched with corresponding channel categories like "Flea & Tick Remedies" on eBay. Select the channel category that best fits your product.
If you don't see the right category, select Browse Categories to open a category tree and find the correct one.
Once you've selected a category, Sellbrite will display the required Conditions and Item Specifics for that category. Here's how to fill them out:
Condition: Select the condition from the dropdown.
Item Specifics: Each required Item Specific needs to be mapped to the Sellbrite product field where that data lives. Sellbrite will suggest mappings automatically where it can. For example, if your product has a Brand field, Sellbrite will map it to eBay's Brand Item Specific for you. You can adjust any of these mappings at any time.
For additional listing options, toggle on Advanced Options. This unlocks:
eBay Secondary Categories (note: eBay charges an additional fee for these)
eBay Store Categories
Additional Condition fields
Listing Format & Duration fields
The full list of available Item Specifics for your chosen category, which you can map to existing Sellbrite product fields or Custom Attributes
To learn more about Custom Attributes, see our Custom Attributes article.
If the Condition in Sellbrite is "New," and you want that to reflect in your listing, select "New" in the Conditions drop-down menu.
For all required Item Specifics, you will want to map the product field where your data is stored to each required Item Specific field.
For example, Brand is the only required Item Specific for the Category pictured above. In this case, Sellbrite automatically maps the "Brand" field in your Sellbrite Product to the Brand Item Specific. However, you can map any Product field to that Item Specific that you prefer.
If you would like to map other, non-required Item Specifics to your listings, and add additional information to your listings, you can toggle on "Advanced Options" (pictured above). This will open additional listing options such as: eBay Secondary Categories (which come with an additional charge from eBay), eBay Store Categories, Additional Condition fields, and Listing Format & Duration fields:
Toggling on Advanced options also opens a full list of available Item Specifics for your chosen Category. You can map existing Sellbrite Product fields to these Item Specifics, or Sellbrite Custom Attributes (such as Breed Size to "Dog Size"). Learn more about Custom Attributes here.
Category Templates are reusable. You only need to set up the category mapping once — after that, Sellbrite applies it automatically to any future listings for products in that same Sellbrite Category.
Once you're done with this section, select Save & Continue.
Step 3: Review your Draft Listings
Next, you'll be taken to your Draft Listings page. Scroll right to confirm that all the necessary templates have been applied to your listings.
The Category Templates you just created will appear in the Category Template column. The other templates (Title, Payment, Pricing, and Shipping) are automatically generated by Sellbrite when you first connect a channel. These are based on listing best practices but can be customized at any time.
Step 4: Publish your Listing(s)
Your new listings will already be selected. Select Publish to send them to your channel.
Your listing data will now be sent to the channel. How long it takes for your listings to go live depends on the channel and the number of listings you're publishing.
